Join us to dance in the 50th anniversary of the Italian American St. Joseph Society's parade through the French Quarter on St. Joseph's Day, Saturday, March 19.
Everyone is Italian for the day at this event featuring beautifully decorated floats carrying the organizations queen and maids, hundreds of tuxedo-clad Italian-Americans handing out red, green and white beads, silk flowers and blessed fava beans and bands and dance krewes like ours.
We will provide drinks (water. Gatorade, Fauborg Lager, wine) and some snacks, but we will not have the port-a-potties (this is a smaller parade) so plan accordingly. Also, there will not be a boogie bus to get to this parade.
Dress in full uniform (remember your cuffs!) which can be accessorized with green/white/red headpieces and other appropriate accoutrements.
Call time is 4:15PM at the whale parking lot next to the New Orleans Hilton on Convention Center Boulevard. We will be with Float #5.
No extra rehearsals will be required to participate but we encourage you to review the dances on your own.
The stage manager for this event is Lisette Bayle, 504-228-1873.
