New Orleans' grooviest Dance Krewe, the Disco Amigos, are hitting the streets for the 2020 Mardi Gras season, and we want YOU to join us!
What is the Mardi Gras Parade Disco Train?
The Disco Train is a rolling disco party that follows the Disco Amigos in the Mardi Gras Parade. If you've ever wanted to participate in Mardi Gras, but don't want the commitment and expense of joining a krewe, then our Disco Train option is for you! Think of it as Don Cornelius' 2nd line. It is open to anyone 21 and over who wants to join our funky disco party - great for locals and visitors!
During the parade, Disco Train Members enjoy:
- Parader status marching in a simulated Disco environment
- Dancing and interacting with the crowd
- Food and drinks before and during the parade
- Amigos port-o-let access
- A unique experience without the long-term commitment!
What is the Disco Train Membership?
This ticket has added perks for 2020! In addition to getting parader status in the Disco Train for one selected Mardi Gras parade, you will also receive a five-month trial membership to the Disco Amigos, valid from Feb 1 - June 30, which will allow you to participate in our social and charity events and non-Mardi Gras parades. You can also attend weekly practices and learn some of our funky moves to see if you wanna party with the Disco Amigos year-round! But again, it's no stress, no commitment -- do whatcha wanna! We'll send you all the details via email following your purchase.

Disco Attire is a MUST! Find a butterfly-collared polyester shirt, bell bottom pants, jumpsuit, and platform shoes, along with any other appropriate accessory (wigs, necklaces, sunglasses). Visit the following amigos if you need some authentic 70's attire:
- Southern Costume Company (504-523-4333)

Nothing larger than a Man Purse. You can only bring what you can carry. NOPD prohibits dragging, pulling or pushing any other equipment, including but not limited to: rolling carts, shopping carts, ice chests, mechanical bulls, or boom boxes. You are welcome to contribute your beer and liquor to the communal ice chests for all Amigos and participants, and will be loved for it.
No Party Favors! Mardi Gras laws do not allow parade marchers to throw or hand-out beads, cups, doubloons, stuffed animals, or any items other than your funky moves.
Party, dance, and have fun till the polyester falls off, bringing your Disco swagger to the streets of New Orleans.
Line-up location and other details will be provided prior to each parade once you have registered. Questions can be sent via email to our Disco Train Captain Billy Kartchner at email@example.com.
